Shaquille’s outstanding first-crop momentum continued on Friday at the Tattersalls December Foal Sale, where buyers once again showed strong demand for the dual Gr.1 winner’s debut progeny. The session produced a new outstanding result for the young stallion, with his top-priced Lot realising 210,000gns, contributing to an excellent week that returned an overall average of 64,371gns across 35 sold.
The star of the session came courtesy of Genesis Green Stud, whose filly (Lot 854) out of Nessina (Hennessy) captured the attention of bidders before ultimately being secured by Paca Paca Farm for 210,000gns. She is a half-sister to the Gr.2 Gimcrack Stakes winner Ajaya (Invincible Spirit) and the dual Gr.3 winner Extra Elusive (Mastercractsman). Her page boasts black-type from a strong Juddmonte family including the triple Gr.1-placed sire Bated Breath (Dansili), the Gr.1 winners & sires Cityscape (Selkirk) and Logician (Frankel), as well as the Gr.1 winner Whitebeam (Caravaggio) and the Gr.1 Yorkshire Oaks runner-up Estrange (Night Of Thunder).

Another highlight came earlier in the session when Plantation Stud sold their Shaquille colt (Lot 806) out of the Gr.3 winner and dual Gr.2-placed mare Queen Jo Jo (Gregorian) for 190,000gns to Ballyphilip Stud.

Completing the list of top-level results were Lot 888 (colt, ex Cashla Bay) and Lot 832 (colt, ex Rubira). Lot 888 was consigned by Norelands and is a half-brother to the Gr.2 winner & dual-Gr.1 placed Simmering (Too Darn Hot). Lot 832 is a half-brother to the dual Gr.3 winner Persica (New Bay) and was consigned by Rathbran House Stud. Both colts were purchased privately by Mags O’Toole for 150,000gns and 100,000gns respectively.

Shaquille has firmly established himself as one of the most exciting young stallions heading into the 2026 breeding season with anticipation already growing for next year’s yearling sales.
As the sales season continues, Ace Stud is proud of the support Shaquille has received from breeders and delighted to see such encouraging results from his debut crop of foals.
