Goffs gives Shaquille’s first foals a solid start

The first foals by the Champion Sprinter went through the ring at the Goffs November Foal Sale this week and have already realised up to €120,000. That’s over six times his introductory covering fee of £15,000 (approx. €17,000).

Shaquille’s top lot, a powerful filly out of Quixotic (Lot 698), was consigned by Neilstown Stud on behalf of her breeders Kilcarn Stud and sold to Rob Speers / Old Mill Stud. Rob Speers is the Racing and Bloodstock
manager for Turkish businessman Ibrahim Araci, who owns Old Mill Stud near Newmarket.

The April-born filly out Quixotic (Pivotal) is a half-sister to the Gr.2 Criterium de Maisons-Laffitte winner and sire Fighting Irish (Camelot), who also finished third in the Gr.2 German 2,000 Guineas as a 3-year-old. Quixotic is a full-sister to the Gr.1 Lockinge Stakes winner Virtual and a half-sister to the Gr.2 Coventry Stakes winner Iceman (Polar Falcon). She has produced six winners from seven runners to date.

We wish all new connections of the foals sold at Goffs the best of luck with their purchases and very much look forward to seeing more of Shaquille’s first crop at Tattersalls next week, with 48 currently set to go under the hammer.
